Honestly, the reason that I would pin income inequality on would be these policies that baby the middle and lower class with cash benefits and free housing. They keep good people down and suck life from job-creating small business through taxes. If you were to erase the current tax system, eradicating all loopholes as? well as rebates, and then implemented a 11% sales, income, and cooperate tax that was flat across the board, that would increase jobs and help the poor breath again.

Yes,there was a boom, but while the super rich got richer, the middle class didn't see? much of that, having incomes barely higher than they were a decade before (not enough considering the debt). You can't just dismiss this. This is a MAJOR issue with Reaganomics (it turns out that the supposed "trickle down" effect is minimum at best and a pretext for giving tax breaks to the rich at worst). Middle class income grew by $6,700 during the Clinton era.

Realizing this,he periodically raised taxes (still wasn't enough though).
